A month at The Villages - Nadine & Michael - April 18-20

April 18, Wednesday
I was expecting Nadine & Michael on Wednesday afternoon, so when the doorbell rang at 11:30 and I was still in my pajamas I was surprised to see them at the door.  Neither of them had heard their phones ring when I called to find out what time they thought they would arrive.  I was concerned that we might not be home when they got here, what a joke.

We took a golf cart tour around the neigborhoods and then stopped for lunch at Mallory Country Club.  We had three Angus burgers and Michael had a portobello.

Afterwards Nadine and I went to the pool for a couple of hours.  Later it was Happy Hour and lots of appetizers for a light dinner since we had a late lunch.  And of course, ice cream for dessert.

April 19, Thursday
Nadine found a cute little tree frog on the screen of the lanai.

We took a walk to Coconut Cove and had a Shuffleboard match.
We switched partners until everyone played with everyone.
It was proven that I was the weakest link.

We had meatballs and spaghetti for a late lunch to make sure we could do everything we wanted for the rest of the day.

Nadine filled the bird feeder and we saw one cardinal before it became a squirrel feeder.

We went into Lake Sumter Landing and toured the Town Square at Vendor night and it was a chance to see lots of golf carts.
We saw a lot of the Florida Softshell Turtles in the water.  Look at the long neck.

When we were back at the house it was time for our light dinner (cheese and crackers, etc) and our Happy Hour"s" out on the lanai.

April 20, Friday
We went to Yoga in the morning
Larry played chauffeur and read his book while he waited for us

Michael tried to be a hero and move the snake so some ladies could get into their car, but it crawled up into the back end of the car instead.

Afterwards we rode down to check out the Seabreeze Rec Center
and then down to Sanibel and toured some of the Open Houses.  We saw a very creative and attractive landscaping job that enabled privacy while still being close to your neighbor.

Nadine and I walked into town in the afternoon and toured the furniture store.

I bought a mirror, I hope it fits in the car. It will be delivered here, boxed, on Tuesday.
We were going to go on the Trolley Tour but missed the last one by 15 minutes so we just had to go shopping and got some great deals!  We finally got home in time for my favorite time of the day when we sit on the lanai for Happy Hour.  Eventually we had dinner which was tilapia, sweet potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts.
