Socks

I've made a bunch of socks over the last few years and every time I have to finish it using the grafting stitch I have to look up how to do it.  I finally found a site that has really good instructions with really good pictures so that it was easy to do.  I'm posting the site here so that it will be easy to find again.

I think I'll also look up their instructions for making socks too.  Larry wants me to make a pair for him but they take me forever and his feet are too big!!

This is the pair I just finished.

I also found this pair in my knitting bag, who knows how long they've been there.  They were done except for pulling a couple of ends through.

Here are two more that I made but never posted.

Socks

I finally finished these socks that I started a year ago.  So far I've done all my socks on dp needles.
For my next pair I'm going to try using the Magic Loop.  I just ordered a size 000 circular needle.
That's the size I need to use to have the socks come out with the fit I like.  Maybe one of these days I'll be able to make a pair good enough to give to someone.

Projects

Ever since Villa Roma my left hip really bothered me.  So much so that I haven't been to Yoga since January 19th.  Even had to cancel out of the 1880 House.  We've had more cancelled vacations this winter but if you're not feeling good it always feels better to stay home.

So while I was sitting around I started knitting a pair of socks.  I love the colors but of course I didn't do that swatch to make sure the needles were the right size so they came out too loose.  I made those on a size 2 and now I'm making another pair, different color, not as pretty, using a size 0.

Then I made a pair of furry trim slippers for me.  This is the first pair I really tried on and realized that I didn't like the feel of the yarn on my bare foot or how unstructured they felt.  So I bought some insoles and glued fleece on them.

I'm going to bring a pair to Laura, hope she likes them.
And while I'm at it, I made these necklaces awhile ago but never posted any pictures.  Now I have to figure out what to do with them.  I've given some as gifts but have bunches more.
