Old Greenwich

On Tuesday I drove to CT.  It was a rainy, gray day but not hard to drive in since the rain never got so heavy that you couldn't see.  Wednesday Nadine and I were meeting in the city, first to meet Rich for coffee at 10 and then to Aunt Harrie's at 1 for lunch.

We left Aunt Harrie's at 6 and had such a good time it seemed like we were there for 2 hours instead of 5.  We were glad to have the time to spend there instead of rushing like we did the last time when we went to the 911 Memorial.
I met Greta at the train and it was my first experience drinking wine with a straw.

On Thursday I was going to go to a music contest between the students and parents with at Tucker's school but on the way to school Tucker, who said his stomach hurt before we left home proved that he wasn't kidding by throwing up in my car before we ever got to school.  I knew it was going to happen because he started to cry so I quickly pulled off onto a side street and then we went home. 
Instead of going to school with him we went to the doctors.  They did a throat culture and we had to wait for the preliminary results.  Tucker was happy about that part because he got to watch Scooby in the waiting room although I had to assist and hold his hands for the throat swabbing after he grabbed at it the first time.

 That night Greta, Hunter and I went to Myles orchestra concert at his school.

On Friday I was supposed to go clamming down at Todd's Point with Tucker and his class but he still wasn't feeling well enough to go so we hung out at home until Laura came.

Myles showed me how he trained his hamster to come to him on command.

 Greta, Laura and I went out for a girls only dinner Friday night.  First drinks at the Beach House.

 Myles and Hunter got haircuts on Saturday

then since it was such great weather a trip to the beach across the street at low tide

Next it was sports time and the first place we went was Hunter's lacrosse game where they did a team picture so I took one too

Now it was Myles's  lacrosse game, as you can tell the weather was hot!!!

 Then we met Laura, Greta and Tucker at Le Pain Quotidien for a Mother's Day breakfast.

Tucker Has Talent !!

Since Tucker didn't have a talent show at his school, he performed a solo.

Parker Visit

Larry called Marge to see if we could stop over to see Parker on our way to Patsy's for dinner and it turned out they were going to BJs in Webster so they came here instead.

He is so cute and so good. Larry thought he looked like Tucker (the devil in the angel)

Hunter's Birthday Visit

I went to Greta's on Monday, it was Hunter's 7th birthday.  I picked everyone up at school and I hung out with Hunter and Tucker while Myles went to his reading tutor.

We all had a birthday dinner and in the morning Tucker and I attempted  a chess game which he probably would have won and then some quick photos.

After I dropped everyone off at school I was on the road again, this time to home.

Weekend in CT

Saturday we went to the zoo after spending an hour in traffic getting there and that night I went to my high school reunion.

Sunday morning we took paper boats that the boys made and Greta waterproofed with clear packing tape to Binney Park for a sail.

I hung out with Tucker while everyone else went to an Open House at Brunswick.  Tucker and I went out to lunch at McDonald's and we both had hot fudge sundaes.  We gassed up my car since I was leaving tomorrow and then we made a life size ghost for Halloween.  At night, Tucker and Hunter and I made pumpkin pie after Hunter and I went to the store for all the ingredients.  It was so good with fresh spices.  I really need to replace mine at home.

Grandma Day

The day started out with listening to Myles practice his viola since he was going to have a test at school to get his white belt and he did get it. He just started his lessons.




I took the boys to school first dropping off Myles and Hunter at their elementary school and then Tucker to Nursery school.  Greta worked from home and for our lunch break she ran and I rode her bike through Tod's Point and someone was out on the very windy, sunny day kite surfing.

 Next it was Tucker's soccer practice

Followed by everyone going to tennis lessons

When we got back home, Laura was there with all kinds of goodies for the boys
Tucker gave us a preview of his "Joker" Halloween costume

and we all went to Abis for dinner.
